Get to Know Our Family

Hygiene Packers is a family owned business with 3 generations of vegetable growing, processing and Melbourne market experience.    

Hygiene Packers was originally founded by Angelo, Stephen and Joe. Early on the 3 brothers alongside their father grew potatoes in the south east region from 1956 - 1990. In 1976 Hygiene Packers was established and the brothers purchased the processing facility in Ferntree Gully. 

Over the recent 30 years the 3rd generation has been raised intertwined with the company. As our passion continues to grow, we strive to promote the use of fresh vegetables and aim to assist all businesses in doing so.

Over time, we've come to understand that each business is distinct, with its own set of unique requirements. Our objective is to cultivate relationships and collaborate closely with our customers to ensure we meet their needs to the fullest extent possible.

We understand the importance of quality and efficiency. We directly engage with numerous farmers Australia wide to supply produce which looks, cooks and taste’s well. This also facilitates our ability to offer stable prices across the year, assist with waste reduction and help increase all kitchen efficiencies.    

 

Hygiene Packers is currently HACCP certified and kosher approved.
